What are layered shades?

Layered shades — also known as zebra, dual or banded shades — are made from a continuous loop of fabric printed with alternating sheer and solid horizontal bands. As you move the shade, the solid bands either line up with the sheers (open, for view and light) or overlap them (closed, for privacy and shade).
